Chicago Gay Pride Parade Pictures

They expected over 400,000 people and I think they may have had more. The parade was spectacular even under partly cloudy skies. The theme for the parade was “Live, Love, Be Proud.” Ex-marine, Eric Alva was the grand marshal for the parade. He is a gay rights advocate from Texas. Eric came out in 2007. He was the first injured American in the Iraq war. Here are some pictures courteously of Schmidty, a friend who was fortunate enough to see the parade in

Chicago. The parade was one that many people came out to see and enjoy. Since June is the month of Gay Pride, cities everywhere had a parade for everyone to enjoy.

It has to make you think about love and support. Everyone who attended was happy and able to see what love, life and pride is all about.

In California, the Gay Pride Parade was led by Dykes on Bikes wearing a wedding dress and a wedding veil tossing bridal bouquets. The mayor Gavin Newsom received applauds from the spectators as he rode by. He worked hard to overturn the ban on gay marriages.

In New York, Patterson was appauled for his support of the gay community. He is trying to get a law passed that would make the state recognize gay marriages from other states. It just seems like everyone is trying to help, but a few.

Gay Pride Parade In Chicago

Today in Chicago there will be a Gay Pride Parade that will be enjoyed by many people. The parade starts at 12 PM at the corner of Belmont and Halsted. The parade will end in Lincoln Park where there will be other events to enjoy. There will be some very influential people included in the Gay Pride Parade in Chicago including the walker s from the Pride Youth Links, Chicago Fire Department and the Starbucks float.

The parade has a lineup of 232 organizations, companies and others. It promises to be the best parade Chicago has ever seen. The line up itself will make this a huge parade, maybe even larger than any July 4th parade anywhere. The floats promise to be beautiful and the support from people from many different states will come to participate and watch the parade.

Chicago has so many events during Gay Pride Month that supports all ages. The event are just another way people come together to show their support and enjoy meeting new people. In fact, on June 5, the television presentation of “Out and Proud in Chicago” aired. It was a very well sought out documentary of stories of the people of the city. It was an amazing program to watch. Chicago does help the community and the rest of the world understand the trails and tribulations of the gay community.

Tomorrow will be a great day with photos from the Chicago Gay Pride Parade. Stop back and enjoy seeing everyone come together for a day of friends and fun.

Make A Legal Will Before It Is To Late

Gay and lesbian couples that are not allowed to marry in their home states or that marry in Canada, Massachusetts or California still need to make sure all their affairs are in order. Even heterosexual couples that live together for years and pledge their love for each other, but wish not to marry must do this. If a partner dies without a will, all the moneys and possessions go to the family of that person.

If a partner dies without a will, no matter what the living partner says, the estate of the deceased partner will go to the family. If that family does not know you or does not like you or your way of living, they can take everything and leave you with nothing but memories. Hospitals and funnel homes will not discuss anything with you. You will be an outsider looking in.

It is so important that gay and heterosexual couples have a will that will protect their partners in case one passes away. Even gay couples that are married will need to do this because you never know what the government will do down the road. It is so important that the will discuss every issue. Children, money, home, possessions and rights concerning hospital stay and funnels. Never leave anything for unsaid where your life together is concerned.

Life for gay couples is already cruel, but if a partner dies, it can be even worst. The courts will not acknowledge your relationship or marriage as of today unless you live in the states that allow gay marriages. New York’s governor is trying to pass a law to recognize gay marriages performed somewhere else, but even so, you need a will. Protect your life together and your love by making a will before tragedy strikes.

John McCain Stands Up Against Gay Marriages

John McCain has finally said something we all can believe this time. He is standing behind the November ballot that will allow people to vote for banning gay marriages in California. He supports the vote and believes that same sex partners should not have equal rights. This means if he is elected President of the United States, gay and lesbian couples will never have equal rights.

He would fight states and organizations that consider or want to allow same sex marriages. I believe that he is so against same sex marriages that he would spend a great deal of time on fight gay rights and not on the things that really matter. Now that he has come out of the closet about his feelings, everyone should rethink whom they will vote for. Do we really need a bigot in the White House? Do we really need another President that only works for half the people and forget about the rest?

John McCain has always had issues with gay marriages and relationships, but to flatly say that he supports the California vote is a self-destructive move. Does he realize that gay people vote and pay taxes? Does he really think that all his contradicting statements are going to be forgotten? Read the news reports, “How John McCain Lost the Election.”

He will and should lose the election because he has openly admitted that he believes marriage is between a man and a woman. He openly said that he supports the ban on gay marriages. He should lose because he cannot be trusted. If he had something to say, it should have been said early in his campaign. He is not upfront about anything.

This latest statement will have an impact and it should. If he thinks he can control who gets married and who does not, what else could he do? Are you willing to take that chance with your freedom? What if he decides that war zone is unsafe for him to make any decisions about and decides to keep the war going. Are you heterosexual people ready to keep losing your children or your own lives for a President that cannot even say one truthful word?

Yes, everyone needs to think very carefully about who should run this country. Do you want a President that is against love and equal rights or do you want a President that can be open minded about the situation? Only you can make the choice.

Woman Died Alone Because She Had A Gay Partner

The same sex partner of a woman who died in a Miami, Florida hospital is filing a lawsuit against the hospital because she was not allowed to receive any information about her partner’s condition. The hospital would not take any of the medical history from the partner. They had been together for 18 years and had three children together. Who would know her better than her life partner?

The lawsuit comes because Florida does not recognize same sex relationships and the hospital told Langbehn that they were an antigay state and she would not be given any information about Pond’s condition. She would not be considered family. What about the children? Did anyone take into consideration that Pond and Langbehn had three children together?

People just do not think when it comes to death. If a person is dying, who makes you God and tells you who can see and who cannot see the patient? What was that hospital employee thinking? Pond was going to die and she had family waiting to see her. They had a right to say good-bye. It does not matter if the partner was of the same sex, she had a right to be with her partner. Pond died alone without being able to see her love one more time.

Unfortunately, this tragedy is seen everywhere. My concern right now is for the children of the gay couple. This hospital denied Langbehn a visit with Pond and the children were subjected to this kind of hatred. These children had to see first hand how their mother’s life has been. They were suppose to be on a fun family vacation that turned into a nightmare. One mother died and the other mother was denied her last moments with the person she loved for 18 years.

People who say they are Christians and believe in God, you are the ones that make the world this way. You have forced your views down everyone throats, now this woman died alone, and her children were subjected to your hateful ways.

Congratulation all of you, you have succeeded in going against anything that God says. You have denied a dying woman a family good-bye. You have subjected young children to your hate and you have made a mockery out of love. You have committed discrimination against one of Gods children. You have gone against the bible.

Gay People Cannot Marry But Illegal Aliens Can Marry

You are an illegal alien in this country, you fall in love with a legal citizen of this country, and you want to get married. You do not have any right being here, but you are a man and a woman couple that love each other. You go to the courthouse with your illegal documents and obtain a marriage license. You can then repeat your vows and are pronounced bride and groom, man and wife or whatever.

You are a gay person in this country and pay taxes because you are a legal citizen of the United States and you work your butt off. You want to get married, but you cannot. You are the same sex. You should be an illegal alien and then you can get married in this country. Illegal aliens have more rights that you do.

Now, let us get this right the first time so there are no misunderstandings. An illegal alien can sneak into the country, obtain illegal documents and then marry. They do not have to pay taxes because they are illegal aliens with no need to file taxes. Now, this woman is an illegal alien, marries a citizen and he can now file taxes and claim his wife as a dependent. More tax savings, but it is illegal.

Gay couples cannot file taxes together because they are not allowed to marry and share the same benefits that the illegal alien and her husband share in. If you are an illegal alien and want to marry, you simply obtain forged and illegal documents and you are a citizen and allowed to marry and share in the tax rewards.

Now comes the shocker. A transgender (female) and a man walk into a clerk’s office to obtain a marriage license. The transgender real name is Justin, so she just adds an “e” to the end of her name on the application. The clerk looks at the photo identification or drivers license and does not bother to look at the “m” or “f” on the identification card because she is curvy young woman. They had to the courthouse to get married. Everything goes along just find and they are legally married. Then the time comes to do a name change and someone has some concerns because Justine is a Justin. He is a male not a female by birth.

Is this marriage legal? Just because the clerk did not do your job and read all the information correctly, should these two people be charged with a misdemeanor because they were married? They did not lie to anyone. The clerk issued the license with no problem.

Watch for more on this story as it will unravel into another they say, they say. How much of your body has to be changed to be considered a woman?

Special Edition And Thought For Tonight

Heinz is being boycotted against because of an innocent advertisement for mayonnaise that used a man and his partner as a way to show a family setting. The problem comes at the end of the advertisement when the partner that is leaving gives the man cooking a peck before leaving. The commercial aired for a week before two hundred or so people complained and wanted the commercial removed from television. It is a bad influence for children to see they said.

The commercial aired in the UK, but not in the US. That makes no difference one way or another. The gay rights organization is boycotting Heinz because they pulled the commercial because a few people did not like it. Now, this is a strange turn of events.

Proctor and Gamble was being boycotted by people against gays for airing to gay men kissing on As the World Turns. Now, Heinz is being boycotted by a gay rights group for pulling a gay commercial.

To the Heinz Company, wake up. Stop thinking people can live without your products. They cannot.

Proctor & Gamble, congratulations for standing strong and supporting the people instead of a few. They also cannot live without your products.

John McCain Has Issues With Same Sex Couples

Yes, John McCain is a bigot. McCain does not and will not accept gay people for who they are. He will not give them any hope of being happily married. His appearance on the Ellen Show did nothing for his career. Well for those that turn their noses up at gay couples, he was a hit and they will be the ones to vote for him. As for those of us that have open minds, we will examine his bigotry and probably have to vote for a write in, maybe George the monkey could run this country better. See another view on John McCain and same sex marriages here at Same Sex Marriages at Political Chatter.

Everyone should listen and learn from others that have experienced losing gay children becasue of rejection. One son was nice enough to make a short video that will make you think. The story started with Barbara Johnson, a ministry leader who learned her son was gay and rejected him. For eleven years, she did not see her son. She did not know where he was or what he was doing. She did not even know if he was alive. Now she helps others accept their children and can do this by using her own experience that scared her.

David Johnson has some words that everyone needs to listen to and practice. He might be gay, but he is smart. Please take the time to listen to his words. It might help you become less of a hating person and make you think about what you are doing. Someone should send this to John McCain since he bases his thoughts on the bible.

Since posting this article, the video has disallowed embedding. If you want to listen to it, you can see it on Youtube at David Johnson

How A Family Can Change When A Child Dies

Yes, a family can change after a child dies, but when that child dies because of suicide, the family has to look deep within themselves and find the strength to see what they could have done to help their child from feeling so desperate that they felt death was the only option. Bobby Griffith was troubled about his sexuality and his mother was the first to tell him he could change, God would help him.

She was an advocate for God, trying to save her son from a life of being gay. She took him to the church. She insisted that God wanted him to be straight. Mary Griffith had no idea what was happening to her son. She just believed as many do that God did not want anyone to be gay. After the death of her son, she learned something herself.

Mary Griffith learned that the there was nothing wrong with her son in God’s eyes because her son was created in God’s image. He was not sick and did not need to be cured. He was a child of God no matter what his sexual orientation was.

Mary Griffith is now an advocate that helps kids come to terms with their own sexuality and accept their life. She is no longer trying to cure the gay and save them from damnation as she did her son.

A Lifetime movie is being made about Mary and Bobby’s ordeal. It will hopefully be a movie that all will watch and listen too. It is a movie that everyone who thinks that being gay is wrong needs to watch.

This could have been your child. Believing that one will not be gay because they read the bible and go to church was what this mother thought and she lost her son to suicide.

Parents need to accept their children no matter what they think or believe in. Believe in your children or they might be lost forever. Tell your children you love them and do not judge them for the life they live.

I will keep a close watch on the schedule to see when this movie comes out on Lifetime and post it here.

Gay Couples That Have Been Together Many Years

Kenneth Pfleuger and Sig Schwarz have been together for 25 years. They plan to marry this summer in San Diego. They have a loving relationship that has lasted for so many years.

Glenn Miya and Steven Llanusa plan to marry this summer in August in Claremont. They have three adopted children and have been together for 22 years. They have a family and a loving relationship.

Seth Lawrence and Scot Hammond will marry in July. They have been together for 14 years. They asked their gusts to make a donation to the Equality California website. They have had five commitment ceremonies since being together. The two look forward to making their life together legal and recognized.

If you look closely, these same sex couples have been together for many years. They are not just getting married because they can. They are getting married because they want their relationships to be recognized. They want to introduce their partners as their spouses and not as their same sex boyfriend or girlfriend. This is only fair. Everyone is entitled to happiness.

Having a life together is just one of the things that same sex partners want, but being able to marry is the final step. Gay couples deserve the same rights as everyone else because they are citizens of the United States, where equality for everyone is supposed to be practiced.

Congratulations to these couples and all the rest that are marrying or planning to marry in California in the coming months.
