Gay And Lesbians Are People Who Deserve Respect
I think that everyone has forgotten one thing when it comes to gay and lesbian people. They are people who deserve the same respect as everyone else. No matter what your sexual orientation or color of skin is you deserve to be treated fairly without discrimination and harassment. Everyone deserves to have the freedom to practice in his or her beliefs no matter what anyone else feels or says.
Being gay or lesbian does not constitute one being an outcast. Being gay or lesbian constitutes being respected, accepted and allowed to live life to the fullest. Just because one has a lifestyle that is not what others think is appropriate does mean others have the right to say how one lives. Same sex relationships and marriages are ones right. If one wishes to marry a same sex partner, no one should interfere and try to alter the way people think.
If gay or lesbian relationships are not something you can accept, you should remain silent and not try to push your beliefs on others. Everyone should be able to make their own decisions and not be influenced by people who choose to discriminate against another persons sexual preference or beliefs.
The thought for today is, Jewish, Catholic, Mormons and all the other religions practice religion in a different way. They are not ousted for their beliefs or lifestyles. Gay and lesbian people believe in same sex relationships and should be accepted for their right to be who they are and not criticized for who they are. They should be allowed the same rights as everyone else.

Extremely well said. It seems as if our society is so judgemental, and until each individual person is walking a straight and narrow path and doesn’t do anything wrong, I personally feel they should just shut up.
Things like this are personal choices, and people are people. Doesn’t matter what religion or race or anything that anyone is. We all have feelings, and being so judgemental isn’t going to get anyone anywhere in life.
Great post.
Bravo! I think you said this well. We’re all just people really. We all live our lives the way we are happiest. What does it matter who we love?

You both said it very well. I did a lot of thinking about that post today after reading about yet another discrimination article.
