Just Because You Are Gay, Does Not Make You Different
Being gay does not make a person different from another. You could give a description of two people, one being gay and one being heterosexual and no one would really know which one is gay.
The answer to yesterday’s question, can you tell who is gay and who is heterosexual bought about some interesting comments. Most could not tell by the description, but one said Mandy only because the person flipped a coin and Mandy won. Most do not care if a person is gay or not.
Mandy is gay. If you would meet her and talk to her, you would never no she was indeed gay. You might not even realize she is gay after months of hanging with her. She is no different from Tami, who happens to be her best friend. Mandy is the godmother of Tami’s little girl. Tami is in a relationship with a man and that is why she goes out with girlfriends. Mandy is in a relationship and goes out with guys and girlfriends to have fun.
As one person pointed out, she has gay guy friends that are the stereotypical of the “gay male,” but other than that, you would not be able to tell.
Too often, people judge people because they hear the word gay and reject that person as their friend. You could meet Tami and Mandy in a club and become friends. Down the road, you may find out that Mandy is gay and have a problem with that. The sad thing is that, you are friends with her as a person and like her. If you do not like gay people, you would probably lose a great friend because of that way of thinking.
Scenario of this story is that just because a person is gay and prefers a different sexual relationship does not make them any less of a person. I just proved that.
