Excellent post. One of the reasons I've always stayed away from Christianity (as a religion, not necessarily the teachings of Christ) has been the hypocrisy that seems to have become the norm. Christ was not judgemental or exclusionary and so to really follow his example means to do the same.

Great post. If gays and lesbians weren't God's children then it would be sinful for me to read this blog. I think there are many things we don't know about God, geez, that is why He is God. He has His own time for things and reasons for things and we can't know or say.

I'll correct your one point and say that God does judge His children. As such I feel that it is more likely that He would have issue with Christians who look at what they perceive as the sins of others than looking at their own sins. There is a great verse in the bible about not worrying about the speck in another person's eye when you have a boulder in your own...something like that depending on what version you read.

Great post again Pam!

Thank you. I think that everyone should think about excepting people for who they are and let the man do the judging.

You have a great way with words and expression. Thank you.

Wonderful article! We are all sinners in need of grace, and we need to treat each other gently.

Max Lucado once said, "It is easier to label than to love". We get so caught up in judging everyone else that we often forget that those same people are judging us as well.

The only thing you will be judged upon when you stand before Christ was whether or not you believed on Him and if you lived a life that was pleasing to Him. I truly don't think He's going to ask what your sexual orientation was any more than he's going to ask me how many times I got drunk.

If there's nothing you could do that makes you good enough to get into heaven, then it stands to reason there's nothing you can do bad enough to get to kicked out.

Because it's all about the Grace. Grace we didn't earn and don't deserve.

However, grace isn't a license to sin or to live however you want. We should all strive for holiness. And the first step toward holiness is to love your neighbor as yourself.

God bless you.
