Gay Street In San Antonio Will Not Be Renamed
A Second Baptist Church in San Antonio, California wants to change the name of the street that runs along side of the church because the name of the street is called Gay Street. They have lost the request to have the name changed to Second Baptist Way. The officials saw through their ploy to get rid of the street name. They said they wanted the name change to bring in more of the community to the church. The residents of the street objected to changing the name because the street was named for an activist in the community.
The street is a tribute to a prominent man and not where gays live.
The church evidently had a reason to want the name change other than to name it after the church itself. They wanted that name gone. Gay Street is a name, not a place to congregate if you are gay. When you seriously think about this little tidbit, you can see how some people’s minds are warped. It is a street people. Wake up and stop showing the true colors you wear.
If the church was next to a street called Leever Street or Cumings Street, would they still ask for a change. I bet they would have no idea what these street names could mean to the perverted or comical mind. The word gay is all they saw and wanted it changed. To think that you can change a street name because it associates with another thing you oppose is ridiculous.
Well the street name is going to stay and maybe the church will decide to move off Gay Street to a more appropriate named street. Maybe they could reside at a street called Wilson, Payne, Hilltop or anything but Gay Street.
I felt a song coming on there for a minute.

That church really has nothing better to do? Like, oh idk, help people! What a novel idea!
