This is beautiful! Im 31 and living with my partner for over 4 years now.
I cant get myself to get married because i come from a traditional, conservative asian family. I cant do something like this knowing that i will break my family’s hearts.
Your daughter is lucky to have a mom like you. I wish someday my mother will accept me too.
I have always been open with my kids and always told them what was what and never hid anything. That is how I wished I had been rasied. I love my daughter and I am very proud of her.
I would hope that some day everyone will be accepted for who they are and not who people think they should be. I hope that your family will some day accept you for who you are.
I know many people that are in the same shape that you are, there families are not supportive or even accepting. Many of them hide who they are for fear of being rejected by their families.
I could never imagine not accepting my kids for who they are. After alll, they love me for who I am and that can be a handful sometimes.
