I am proud to say I live in Canada where same sex marriages have been legal country wide for several years and in most provinces for more then a decade.

Its really a no-brainer… same sex marriage effects just the two people getting married its no one else damn business…. the arguements against are just plain stupid and petty.

The two main arguments against I hear most often are 1. it goes against god (umm okay who’s god, if it goes against yours then you don’t have to do it.) 2. It ruins the sanctity of marriage (yeah right sure it does, I would love someone to explain to me how Bob and Jim or Sue and Kate down the street getting married ruins the sanctity of my marriage to my husband, last I checked only my husband or myself could ruin the sanctity of our marriage)

I am glad to see yet another state has decided that same sex marriage is legal but HELLO to the rest of the US wake the hell up and think about this logically…. this should even be an issue this shouldn’t even be an issue it’s stupid and petty and serves only to discriminate against people who aren’t exactly like you.

I look forward to a world where people don’t openly discriminate against people but I cant see it happening any time soon when the government still does in most states.

I saw some of the newscasts on same sex marriage recently when my five-year old was sitting there and she just cant wrap her brain around why there are even laws for or against it… I finally just told her its because some people are crazy and think everything everyone does is there business.
