Should You Hide Your Sexual Preference From Family And Friends

Many people have a hard time telling family and friends that they are gay. They choose to not tell anyone about their sexual preference and live a secret life. This of course is not healthy. You should never be afraid to say who you are and what you like. This can cause undue emotional stress and lead to many mental and emotional problems.

You should always be honest and the people that care about you or love you will understand. If family and friends do not accept you for who you are, then it is their loss not yours. The world is changing and more and more people are open to accepting those that are gay. You should never be afraid of saying who you are for any reason.

If you are gay, tell your friends and family so that it does not come to a complete surprise if they find out from someone else. They can only respect you more for being truthful and not hiding it from them. If they have problems with who you are, maybe they would appreciate talking about it with you or someone else.

How To Tell Your Friends You Are Gay

You have a lot of friends and you are gay. How to tell your friends you are gay might be a little scary, especially if you are still in high school. The schools today have Gay Straight Alliance groups that can help you if you need help or you can choose to do it yourself and see how things go.

In most cases, your true friends will accept you for who you are and not judge you. This is of course if you have friends that are not prudes and discriminating people. If you are gay, you are not alone. Many people both young and old are gay. They were just like you when they first had to tell their friends they were gay, but today, they are happy and have many friends.

Do not be afraid to say who you are or what you want in life. Everyone deserves the right to be himself or herself. You are not alone. Tell your friends that you are gay and that does make you any less or more of a friend. Let them know that by accepting you, it makes them more of a friend and you appreciate their acceptance.

How to tell your friends you are gay. Just say it. Don’t make a big deal about it, but be strong.

Be Proud Of Who You Are

Gay and lesbian people should be proud of who they are no matter what. Just because you are gay or lesbian does not make you any less of a person. It does not make you different from me or any other person in the world. Sexual orientation does not make you strange because everyone is different in some way. That is why the world is so diverse. No one person is the same.

Be proud of who you are and stand up for your rights. If every gay, lesbian, bi-sexual and transgender person would stand up and fight for what is theirs, acceptance would have to be the only answer. No one has the right to take equality away from anyone no matter what their sex, gender, age, religion or sexual orientation is or is not. Be proud and tell the world that you are gay and proud.

Jerry Farwell Against Hate Crimes Law

Jerry Farwell is a moron. I have never understood why people with an ounce of intelligence would listen to him. When he opens his mouth, he is the biggest bigot against anything that does not meet his standards. Learn the truth about the hate crime laws and find out why they are important for everyone. Between Sarah Palin and Jerry Farwell, the world will never see any hate crime bills passed if they had their ways.

We need to take action and learn how to help pass the hate crimes law before it is to late for any of us, even you the heterosexual. If gays can be discriminated against, who is to stop it from coming through your backdoor?

Who Said Vote No To Proposition 8 Video

These are some influential people that will be voting NO to Proposition 8. You must join them or risk losing your equal rights as well. If you allow one person to lose their rights to freedom and equality, you are opening doors for future losses for yourself. Do you want the world saying if you can do something that is important to you?

This is something that most people have never had the opportunity to hear or see. It is a panel including Phyllis and Del talking about the organization. It is interesting to hear the things that are talked about. Since the passing of Del martin recently, it is important to know how hard her and Phyllis worked to bring the San Francisco marriage issue to light.

5 Myths About Lesbians

Published by blondiewrites under Lesbian Edit This

Myth: Lesbians are men haters.

Truth: Lesbians actually get along with men. Just because they prefer a woman does not mean they are men haters. They just prefer woman.

Myth: Butch lesbians want to be a man.

Truth: Just because some lesbians dress and do men’s activities does not mean they want to be a man. They are more comfortable dressing and doing the things they do. There are many heterosexual women that dress and do the same things. It is a preference for dress and activities. It has nothing to do with wanting to be a man.

Myth: Lesbians are attracted to all women.

Truth: This is the funniest of all the lesbian myths. Just because you are a woman does not mean even a lesbian will want you. Lesbians have taste and preferences to who they are attracted to just as heterosexual men and women do.

Myth: Sex is all lesbian relationships are all about.

Truth: The fact is that not all lesbian relationships are sexual. They are about connecting on a spiritual and emotional level. The same holds true for heterosexual couples, it is not always about sex.

Myth: You can tell if a woman is a lesbian by looking at her.

Truth: This is so untrue. There is some stereotype for both lesbians and gay men, but the fact is that you cannot always tell if someone is a lesbian.
